Greetings from circa 2006! Happy birthday Sasha!

To coincide with the season premiere of Project Runway's latest season, Lifetime has created Models of the Runway, a sort-of 'show within a show' and spin-off of the successful reality show. It will feature the 16 or so models also competing on Project Runway.

I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. America's Next Top Model IS like a modeling school if you look at it. Models of the Runway might seem to be just full of backstage drama. Heidi's also hosting it AND I do like her more than Tyra.

Even though Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty and Pink were all made before I was born, I very much loved and related to all of them. Also, I grew up watching Home Alone and Beethoven definitely played a part in my love for dogs.

This is the cover editorial for the June 2009 issue of Vogue Italia, my first Vogue magazine ever.

"I loved it. So ahead of its time. So completely classic. Like a retro-visionary, over-the-top circus of refined minimalism coming down the runway. Plastic is the new black."



This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite fashion spreads ever. Obviously, I'm loving the concept. I love how it shows a particular lifestyle, one that clearly appeals only to a niche but everyone can take inspiration from. If this is indicative of where fashion is going this coming season, then I'm really looking forward to it. Plastic is definitely the new black!

 

Damir Doma's use of red is something fresh for a spring collection. I love his use of sheer fabrics and how the colors gradually change. There is definitely a Moroccan/desert influence with a subtle sexuality.
